I was sitting in the driver's seat of our car with shalmestere in the other seat, just about to drive somewhere, when I noticed somebody walking by outside: Janice Pendergrass, a computer science classmate I hadn't seen since college. So I rolled down the window and said "Hi, Janice!" shalmestere was surprised -- "you know this person?" -- and so was Janice when I told her who I was. She had changed her name to Henrietta some time in the intervening decades.
