shalmestere and I were also at some kind of large event (a concert, or an SCA event, or something), and we heard an announcement "Guards are to be on high alert", followed a few minutes later by "Guards are to report immediately to <location>; bring helmets," and everybody there looked at one another and said things like "it's going down now. The violence is starting now. I thought we would have longer."
