Dream journal

At some large tech company (think Bell Labs), there was a device that allowed drops of water out through a tiny nozzle, one at a time, and one day the drop of water inexplicably got stuck and hung there for hours. This accident led to a major discovery in fluid dynamics, which led to a major discovery in electronics, which led to a major invention in medical imaging.

Which I know because I was watching a young woman in a hospital gown about to undergo the imaging procedure, and the hospital attendant (also a young woman, and inexplicably also in a hospital gown, which kept falling down and revealing more of her than it was supposed to) was explaining to her the history of the invention. At one point she showed a video in which Grand Moff Tarkin, representing one of the upper management of the tech company, explained to Darth Vader, representing one of the inventors, "This is a company. We do not make radios! Nor peel potatoes!" [the last referring to another accidental discovery which had led to the invention of an automatic potato-peeler].

There was another dream, either a prequel or a sequel to the above, but I've forgotten it.
