They're shooting another episode of "The Good Wife" in our neighborhood next week. I've never seen the show, but apparently the home of one of the characters is a house a block or two from ours. Or rather, two houses -- they use one for the exterior and another for the interior.

What this means for us is that we have to make sure we have a good parking spot on Tuesday before the trucks show up. Running into Juliana Margulies while walking the dogs is unlikely.

Which would be why they shoot the residential-neighborhood scenes in Queens :-)

Law and Order used to shoot a lot on my old block. We're a cul de sac, they're not blocking traffic, and there are a fine variety of different but very typical NYC apartment buildings from the 20s and 30s.

Yeah - dodge the actual shoot, walk around the services trucks, laugh at the new sign on your building... and be glad that local businesses were getting a lot of customers, and the building was now going to be able to get the needed repairs done... The Law and Order Franchise helped a lot of bricks get repointed.

LOL... my niece was a location scout for them for a long time. She loved places like yours. Gets easier to submit the paperwork when the locals are friendly. ;)
