The parents' front yard reminds me strongly of the Farm Beneath the Sands (I think that was the name - don't have the book with me.)
But we don't have bits of loom and roof beam and such - we recognize the artifacts as bags of recycling that got buried. We think we'll be able to pull it out in time for the next collection.
