New York moment

A young lady, probably in her twenties, with hair dyed a color not found in nature, and tattoos, waiting for the subway with a lizard (the animal, not the instrument) in one hand and a battered paperback Anna Karenina in the other.

Reminds me of the day i rode on the subway with a Viking.
Sure, he was in a suit with a briefcase, but his long red hair and the old leather construction of the briefcase gave him away...
