Da kitchen

I'm not sure what time the workers are arriving to start demolishing the kitchen for renovation, but as of 1:45 AM, the kitchen is ready to be demolished. Everything non-demolish-worthy is out of it. Except the dishwasher, which is only a few months old... and is currently finishing its third run of the day, so I'll need to empty it before they get to work.

Who knew there was so much stuff in a kitchen?

The Kitchen In Exile is distributed among the living room, dining room, and basement: makeshift dishwashing station next to the washer-dryer in the basement; microwave and blender on a side table in the dining room; various non-perishable ingredients, essential cookware, and plastic leftovers-containers in boxes and bags in the living room. We may find better ways to distribute these, but for now they all have places and they're not in the kitchen.

Ten copier-paper boxes of cookbooks and a dozen or so copier-paper boxes of other kitchen stuff are stacked in the basement; most but not all of them are off the floor. A lot of expired ingredients are in trash bags on the curb. The refrigerator is still in place, and full; the workers are going to work around it until they have the new refrigerator installed.

Bedtime. Totally bedtime.
