I don't think there's a large intersection between Times readers and Trump voters. Indeed, any Trump voter who did read the Times over the past few years would have seen a steady diet of "how corrupt, autocratic, and incompetent Trump is" opinion columns (including from their several Republican columnists), as well as a steady diet of "Trump made the following false statements, and doubled down on his lies about the 2020 election" in non-opinion news stories. I'm not sure what more the Times could have done to oppose him.
