Road repair, continued

Following up on this post from June 3...

The section of road near our house that had been torn up for several days as of that post is lined with signs today saying "No parking -- road repair". Suggesting that, perhaps, over three weeks after ripping up the road surface, they're finally going to pour new asphalt. Maybe.

Yup: the two blocks from 112th Street to Myrtle seem to be re-poured (although not painted or speed-bumped yet). Everything from 112th to Lefferts is still torn up. And it's another holiday weekend, so I assume nothing will be done today. Perhaps they have to wait for another holiday weekend, of which the next is Fourth of July weekend.

Update, Tuesday June 20: they appear to be pouring asphalt on the section nearest our house. Around 7:30 AM there was a loud klaxon sound, followed by somebody saying something incomprehensible over a loudspeaker, and now the street is blocked off and a bunch of big trucks are doing noisy things.
