The Federal government knows better than you do what to do with your money
which is why Republicans are trying to forbid retirement plan managers to consider climate change and other environmental issues, so you don't have the choice of investing your retirement funds in such plans.
What, you thought it was Democrats who knew better than you how to invest your money? No, most of them want to allow you to decide for yourself where to put your retirement money, whether it's "woke" or "anti-woke" or something else. With the notable exception of Democrats Tester and Manchin, both of whom come from states with a lot of fossil-fuel companies that might lose out if ordinary investors were allowed to not invest in them.
