Yes, exactly: we sponge-painted the master bedroom walls and added a wallpaper frieze, we applied parquet to the master bedroom floor, we tore down the paneling in the finished section of attic and patched and painted the plaster underneath, we paid somebody to replace the bedroom ceiling, we paid somebody to renovate the bathroom, we paid somebody to renovate the kitchen, we paid somebody to renovate the spare bedroom, we installed crown molding in the spare bedroom, we installed ceiling fans in both bedrooms, we replaced the light fixtures in the attic and the porch....
Not all of these renovations turned out the way we wanted them, and there are things we would do differently in retrospect, but we have done a lot of stuff to make it more functional or more aesthetically compatible. Some of which a buyer would appreciate, and some not so much.
