BioBird was a passionate teacher. She was wrestling with cancer for the past three or four years, but the teaching was her reason to keep living. She taught a day of classes on Monday the 22nd, went into the hospital on Tuesday the 23rd, and died on Friday the 26th. There were at least a dozen of her former (EDIT: high-school) students at the memorial, most of them now in college. Her Facebook fan page has over 300 members now.
